One Less Painful Memory

image

‘One Less Painful Memory’

But then, what’s that
I have to do
As you selfishly walk away

But then, how can I hold on
When you decide
To break the ties and move on

But then, what do you want
From the me who’ve
Already surrendered all her heart

But then, how can I loudly say
With words to stay
When you ignore my salty pleas

But then, I close my tired eyes
And say good bye,
A small smile dawning on my lips

And then, I whisper a silent
Prayer, thank you God,
For one less painful memory
