‘Washed Away In The Waves…’
The footprints we left, on the sandy shore as we walked together,
My hand inside your hand.
The memories we inscribed, of love and endless stream of laughter,
On the golden beach sand.
Our story, I thought, is a fairy tale that shall go on and on, brighter
Like the sun, without an end.
When I woke up yesterday and then today, I remember that day,
When our left memories and old footprints get washed away,
By the monstrous wave, Time, swift and surprising.
When I wake up, today and then I shall wake up tomorrow, and
I still pray for it to be a dream, but the smile you spill from the picture,
Reminds me that You had been washed away.
